Scouts are in the third section of the Scouting family and are open to all people aged 10 1/2 - 14 1/2 years old.

Scouts partake in more traditional Scouting skills such as camping, survival and outdoor cooking.
It is designed to help them to develop as independent, confident individuals with a respect for other people and their surroundings. Finding out about the world in which they live, encouraging them to know their own abilities and the importance of keeping fit and developing their creative talents is an important part of the Scout programme.

Scouts have a Motto, Promise and a Law which they learn before they are formally invested into the Scout Troop. For Scouts who want to be recognised for their achievements, there are Challenge Awards and Activity Badges, which can be worn on their uniform. The highest Challenge badge is the Chief Scout’s Gold Award.
If your child is interested in joining Scouts or you have any other queries then please contact us - we'd love to hear from you.
Please note we meet at Fremington Village Hall every Monday, 6:30 - 8:00pm
